A Shawn Michelle’s Store Manager is responsible for being an
ambassador for Shawn Michelle’s – for leading store(s) and teams for
which they are responsible to exceptional levels of performance,
including marketing, advertising, customer service, sales, profits,
product quality, store environment and employee engagement that
have been the Hallmark of Shawn Michelle’s from the very beginning!

Crave Specialist

 

 Description: Prepare and serve ice cream and other gourmet dessert items such as slices of pie, Cobbler’s cake, cones, sundaes, shakes and other drinks. Performing cleaning regularly throughout shift. Sign confidentiality agreement and non compete disclosure. Qualifications:

● Honest, hardworking, sincere, cheery person, who is often seen smiling

● Takes pleasure in uplifting another person’s day with a genuine smile

● Works well with others in a team environment

● Able to clean toilets, pick up litter

● Able to see work that needs to be done, and takes action to correct the problem without being asked to do so ● Pleasant, professional, and courteous

● Welcomes every customer

● Greet each customer that comes through the door

● Label and pack ice cream as needed each day

● Offer customers samples and menu suggestions

● Weight out scoops of ice cream

● Enthusiastically makes sundaes and milkshakes

● Slice and serve gourmet pies and cakes

● Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines with care

● Keep counter, seating, and kitchen areas inviting and clean

● Wash ice cream tubs and utensils throughout your shift

● Run register; follow cash handling procedures

● Continually stock ice cream, and merchandise as it’s purchased

● Complete inventory sheets

● Contribute to goals for increasing sales and creating loyal customers (i.e. ice cream addicts!)

● Talk & become personal with the customers by interacting, yet continue to service the next customer in line with the same enthusiasm

● Keep the shop neat, clean and orderly, by regularly cleaning windows, floor, displays, emptying trash as needed throughout shift

● Following all opening and closing duties.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• EXPERIENCE: Retail and/or food service background. Minimum of 2 years in a supervisor/manager/leadership role of a team of at least 5 people. Or, highly recommended by store manager, or the executive team, with the approval of Shawn Michelle’s executive team.

• MATH & LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to work with and analyze sales numbers, ratios, measurements, percentages, etc. Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions in the use of equipment, methods, processes, and procedures; write professional reports and memos; speak before a group with poise.

• TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Must be able to generate, articulate, and understand financial reports.

• The ability to create spreadsheets to analyze and illustrate data and reports is preferred; along with the knowledge and ability to use design software for the purpose of advertisement and marketing is preferred.

• EDUCATION: Minimum of high school diploma. Associate’s, Culinary degree or two year Culinary certificate. years of supervisory experience in relevant field is preferred. 2 years of supervisory experience in relevant field is preferred

• EXPERIENCE: favorable experience as an assistant manager, or team leadership experience for a few years in relevant field is preferred.

• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The job may require you to be able to lift up to 40 lbs, have the flexibility and strength to load supplies and equipment (around the store and in/out of vehicles), and be able to stand on feet for prolonged periods of 8+ hours.

• TRANSPORTATION: Must have reliable vehicle. Must have valid drivers license and insurance. Must be able to, and be willing to, drive Shawn Michelle’s vehicle/van/ truck if necessary to pick up or deliver Shawn Michelle’s merchandise.

• LEADERSHIP: Must be able to motivate and develop Others and work in harmony with Icecream Chef, Team Leaders, and Team members. Must Be Coachable!! Must be able to keep Icecream Chef, Team Leaders, and Team members on task, and able to make them all accountable. Must be able to coordinate Icecream truck routes and deliveries; as well as Icecream scooping and packaging schedules

• FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT: Minimum of 45 hours/week for management positions, varied schedule including nights/weekends/holidays (closed Thanksgiving & Christmas). Must be on call, and work when called upon or needed.

• ATTENDANCE: Must ensure that Shawn Michelle’s employees are “Always” “On-Time”, and that the business opens on time; and that the business absolutely “NEVER” close a second before the scheduled closing time.

• REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS: Must ensure that food service sanitation regulatory requirements are maintained at all times.

• Must ensure that the site is very clean at all times

• ACCOUNTABILITY: Must make weekly administrative meetings with Shawn Michelle’s Store Manager, and or executive team representative.

• Must conduct weekly leadership meetings with team leaders, and customer satisfaction team

• Must conduct weekly maintenance performance checkIns with team leaders, and customer satisfaction team members

• SCHEDULING: Must be proficient at scheduling efficiently and in accordance with the weather, time of day, flow of business, and budgetary constraints

• Must ensure that Asst Managers, Team Leaders, and Team members are clean and appropriate for a Shawn Michelle’s setting at all times, meaning free of any substances, smelling clean and fresh, and a good and cheerful spirit, and maintaining a positive attitude towards management, leadership, other team members, and customers.

• QUALITY ASSURANCE: Must ensure that Ice Cream Chef and Chef Assistants are following all recipe cards to the letter. Must ensure that all products are maintains served in accords with best practice standards according to product description and product care instructions, as well as food service sanitation requirements and regulations.

• Must also ensure that the quality and flavor of all products inside of Shawn Michelle’s, and products that are sold, and or delivered is in optimum condition and has optimum flavor and taste

• Must ensure that Team Leaders, and customer satisfaction Team members are clean and appropriate for a Shawn Michelle’s setting at all times, meaning free of any substances, smelling clean, well groomed and fresh, and a good and cheerful spirit, and maintaining a positive attitude towards management, leadership, other team members, and customers at all times.

• QUANTITY CONTROL: Must ensure that all products are tracked, monitored, restocked, and prepared in a timely manner in accordance to a replenishing and production schedule • SERVICE DELIVERY: Must ensure that service is optimum at all times. Must ensure the every customer is greeted with an enthusiastic smile, and attended to in an expeditious manner!! Must ensure that the Shawn Michelle’s jingle is song at appropriate intervals. Must play designated and approved music, and have TV’s set to predesignated channels at all times.

• SERVICE DELIVERY: Must ensure that service is optimum at all times. Must ensure the every customer is greeted with an enthusiastic smile, and attended to in an expeditious manner!! • STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE CRITERION: Leadership must always take responsibility for, and take charge, everything in view and within the boundaries of the business location while working

• Must conduct his or herself as the number one example for all others subordinate to leadership

• Report, in writing, any violations that all leadership is held accountable to ensure, enforce, and maintain

• Never abandon the site, or relieve yourself until you’ve been properly relieved by your relief

• Always pass on all instructions from upper management and executive staff, and post a copy of approved instructions for the rest of the team to read, along with verbally informing the team
